About
Mayenjane Trust UK was founded by Barrie and Jean Jennings, after many years working in Swaziland alongside Pastor La Salette of CFCIS Church in Swaziland. They were later joined by their daughter Lisa Jody in the UK, helping them grow the work at Mayenjane.
Seeing such poverty and sorrow of many orphaned children, primarily caused by the AIDS pandemic which caused the deaths of many parents. This resulted in children being orphaned and without a home, care, food and basic life needs. Barrie and Jean seeing the plight of these children, wanted to make a difference by creating stable loving homes where the children were safe and had life's basic needs.
In partnership with the Pastor who already had available land, the foundations were started for the first home for the children. Over time funds were raised from Mayenjane Trust and the Church in Swaziland and the first Children's Home was completed.
Building Homes, Changing lives has been the foundation for seeing children protected and nurtured.
The first Home is situated in the area East of Swaziland in the Lowfeldt, Lobombo region. On this land is the area of Mayenjane where the the first Orphanage and Church was built. There is also a Pre-school and a feeding center for other local children
"Spending time at the Children’s Home in Mayejane my eyes were opened to the kindness and innocence of such great individuals. We played soccer and other fun games whilst working the land and making it safe and pleasant to live in."

"Mayenjane is a special place for me. I loved every minute I was there, and returned for a second time. Seeing the children so happy and safe is very special, and I can’t wait to watch them flourish there."
